The Manitoba Rugby Hall of Fame will hold its 16th Induction Dinner Saturday October 17th, 2026

The event will take place at The Gates in Winnipeg to recognize and celebrate the accomplishments of two individuals and one organization who have been selected to be inducted as Honoured Members in 2026.

This year’s Induction Dinner will honour the three new Inductees for 2026: 

Mark Hampton – Player
Ray Hoemsen – Builder
Winnipeg Wanderers Rugby Football Club 1926-2026 – Pioneer

Funds raised by the annual Induction Dinner support rugby in Manitoba.
The Manitoba Rugby Football Union (now Rugby Manitoba), started in 1879, is the first sports “club” in Manitoba. Established in 2010, the Manitoba Rugby Hall of Fame (MHROF) celebrates the history of the sport of Rugby in Manitoba by recognizing those who have significantly contributed to the game and its development. Currently, there are over 2,500 participants of all ages playing, coaching, officiating, administrating, volunteering for and managing rugby in schools, clubs and Rookie Rugby programs across the Province of Manitoba.
To date 78 Honoured Members have been recognized as Players, Teams, Officials, Builders or Pioneers.
