Please take the opportunity to familiarize yourself with the following information when undertaking to submit a nomination form for induction to the Manitoba Rugby Hall of Fame.

Nominations can be made in one of the following four categories:
Purpose
The Manitoba Rugby Hall of Fame was initiated in 2009 by a volunteer committee in an effort to:
- Celebrate the history of the sport of Rugby in Manitoba by recognizing those who have significantly contributed to the game and its development.
- Serve as a means to engage the involvement and support of current and past members in the continued growth and development of the sport of Rugby in Manitoba.
- Dispense funds raised from the Hall of Fame Induction Dinner in support of Maple Grove Rugby Park or based rugby facility development initiatives.
Nomination Information
Please take the opportunity to familiarize yourself with the following information when undertaking to submit a nomination form for induction to the Manitoba Rugby Hall of Fame.
General Criteria
- Any individual or association may submit a nomination form.
- Nominees should have been involved in Rugby at least 20 years and have contributed significantly to the sport of rugby in Manitoba.
- Nominees may be recognized posthumously.
- Nominations for induction are valid for a period of three years (once a nominee is deemed eligible).
- Nominations not recommended for induction within the three year period of nomination validity may be re-nominated; otherwise Nominations recommended for induction stand in perpetuity.
- Player nominees should have been retired from playing at least three years from a national or provincial team program.
- Nominees may be considered while holding elected office at the provincial, national or international rugby board level.
- Nominees will not be considered for induction while serving on the Manitoba Rugby Hall Of Fame Committee in the following positions: Committee Chair, Sub-Committee Chairs and Induction Sub-Committee – Nominations Coordinator and Selections Jury members.
Nominations can be made in one of the following four categories:
- Player/Team
Must have attained excellence at a provincial, or national level of rugby, having performed in such a way as to bring special honour to the sport of Rugby. For a player to be eligible for induction there should be a waiting period of three years following retirement from provincial or national competition.
- Officials (Referees, Coaches, Managers and Non-coaching Staff)
- Builder (Administrators, Media, Patrons, Volunteers and multiple category contributors)
Must have attained a high level of excellence and brought honour to the sport of Rugby through ongoing dedication to the building of athletes, teams, programs and the administration of the sport.
- Pioneer
Must have attained a high level of excellence in the early days of rugby in Manitoba. This category is reserved primarily for those who made a substantial/significant contribution prior to 1975.
